Melissa J. Manderschied Minneapolis, Minnesota
Melissa Manderschied joined Kennedy & Graven, Chartered, as an associate in 2006. She practices in the areas of local government law, land use, government relations, and administrative law. Melissa grew up in Lake Lillian, Minnesota. In 1997, Melissa earned a B.A. in International Relations and Political Economy from Centre College in Kentucky. She then enrolled in the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating with an M.S.P. degree in 1999. Prior to beginning her legal education, Melissa served as a research intern for the D.C. non-profit, Resources for the Future. Melissa returned to Minnesota to serve as an Americorps VISTA, working as an affordable housing organizer for Jewish Community Action. After a year of service, she joined the Metropolitan Council as a Community Relations Specialist and Planner. In 2006, she received a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. During law school, Melissa served on the executive boards of the American Constitution Society, Women's Law School Association, Minnesota State Bar Association Law School Division, and the College's Curriculum Committee. Melissa lives in Saint Paul with her husband, Matt Reinartz. Melissa is an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts and the American Constitution Society.
