Ronald Smith joins the firm as our 2025 Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) 1L Clerk. He recently completed his first year at the University of Minnesota Law School. He has a background in political science and economics and is eager to gain hands-on experience in municipal law and deepen his interest in litigation.
Krista Colbert, our 2025 Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA) Clerk, also just completed her first year at the University of Minnesota Law School. Krista brings with her an enthusiasm for learning, a passion for dance, and a global perspective shaped by her studies abroad.
As a firm dedicated to fostering the growth of future legal professionals, we are honored to partner with programs like TCDIP and MDLA to provide meaningful summer experiences to rising 2L students. Our summer law clerkship program is designed to offer hands-on exposure to substantive legal work, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and opportunities to engage with clients and the broader legal community.
By investing in the early stages of their legal careers, we aim to help shape the next generation of talented, thoughtful, and community-minded attorneys. We are excited to support Ronald and Krista as they gain invaluable insights and practical skills that will serve them throughout their professional journeys.
Please join us in welcoming Ronald and Krista to Kennedy & Graven!
