
David T. Anderson
Dave Anderson is a shareholder at Kennedy & Graven and practices in the area of general municipal law, specializing in real estate and development work. Dave provides counsel to dozens of cities and other public entities throughout Minnesota. Dave is currently city attorney for the cities of Carver, Clearwater, Franklin, Holdingford, Maple Lake, Nevis and Wahkon, and lead attorney for the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission. Dave also serves as development counsel for the cities of Medina and Woodbury.
Prior to joining Kennedy & Graven, Dave spent three years as a prosecuting attorney in the Sherburne County Attorney’s Office where he was primarily responsible for assisting with law enforcement investigations, charging and litigating criminal cases, and managing an appellate caseload. Dave received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and later graduated cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. While in law school, Dave was a recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award and named to the Dean's Honor Roll following every semester. He also served as editor of the Hamline Journal of Law & Religion and both editor and board member of the Hamline Law Review. Following law school, Dave clerked for the Honorable Christian S. Wilton in Minnesota’s First Judicial District.
Dave lives in Arden Hills with his wife, their two sons, and their dog, Ollie. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with his family outdoors.
