
Greta L. Bjerkness
Greta Bjerkness concentrates her practice in municipal law and real estate, specifically in the area of eminent domain where she represents cities and government entities in acquiring property rights for use in public improvement projects. Greta has successfully tried many cases in front of condemnation commissioners and reached favorable outcomes for her clients through mediation. Greta advises her municipal clients on general municipal law matters including data practices, ordinances, land acquisition, and code enforcement.
Additionally, Greta is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the MN General Rules of Practice and actively mediates cases involving government entities, land use matters, and real estate.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Greta worked in research and development at an international cosmetics company. She then received her law degree at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Prior to joining Kennedy & Graven, Greta served as an assistant Dakota County Attorney in the civil division representing the County’s Transportation Department.Education
