
Nicholas Smoger is an associate attorney with Kennedy & Graven, Chartered. He primarily focuses on representing municipalities in civil litigation.
Nicholas attended the University of Iowa College of Law where he was on the editorial board of the Iowa Law Review. While in law school, Nicholas clerked for two summers in the civil division of the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office and externed for Magistrate Judge Stephen B. Jackson, Jr., in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. After law school, Nicholas clerked on the Minnesota Court of Appeals for Judge Renee Worke, Judge Elise Larson, and Judge John Schmidt. He was with the court for two years.
As a small-town native who lives in the metro, Nicholas is passionate about the needs of rural Minnesota and the Twin Cities alike and is committed to serving local governments across the state.
