
Zac DesAutels
Zac DesAutels is an associate at Kennedy & Graven practicing in the areas of litigation and municipal law. He is a versatile, experienced, and practical advocate and adviser.
After finishing law school and a judicial clerkship in Ramsey County, Zac joined the Civil Division of the Saint Paul City Attorney’s Office, primarily handling real estate and economic development contracts and negotiations. He went on to work at a law firm in his native Houston, Texas, litigating business disputes and insurance coverage matters, before returning to Minnesota as a white-collar crime prosecutor in the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. He has given presentations on fraud investigation and prosecution for law enforcement and at the Minnesota County Attorneys Association Annual Meeting.
Zac is originally from Houston, grew up in Pennsylvania, went to college in New York, and fell in love with Minnesota during law school. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, daughter, and an ever-growing library of chess books.
